Empisys Delivers Innovative Energy Monitoring Web App

Empisys built the Ergy Web app for remote energy usage monitoring and statistical reporting. The Ergy UI uses custom Shockwave Flash controls to implement virtual instrumentation. Instrument data is read using AJAX calls to a Web-based data API for live updates of charts. In addition to the virtual instrument UI, Empsis built user registration, session management, email notification, user account management, and system administration components of this application.

The Bizpad client is a Web-based user interface built using jQuery/AJAX that is functional on all popular browsers, including IE 7 & 8, Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Opera, and Safari on iPhone/iPad. The Bizpad services are built on a cloud architecture using LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP), a RESTful API, and Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Simple Storage Service (S3). Empisys Delivers Diagnostics For Windows HPC Pack 2008 R2 Beta 2

Empisys announces the delivery of diagnostics components which have been developed in collaboration with Microsoft's HPC division. These diagnostics will be packaged with Microsoft Windows HPC Pack 2008 R2. They provide built-in self-test capabilities to the Windows HPC Server cluster as well as providing reference examples of diagnostics tests for other developers' reference. Windows HPC Pack 2008 R2 is available for download from the Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 Beta Program page.

Empisys-Developed Parallel VisIt Engine Models Human Anatomy

Empisys generated high-resolution scientific visualizations of a skeleton model derived from the National Library of Medicine's Visible Human Project female data set using a custom parallel engine based on LLNL VisIt 1.12.0 running on a 64 processor Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 cluster. Empisys generated a high-resolution movie showing a simulation of a large hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico using data published by the University Center for Atmospheric Research (UCAR). This simulation was generated using a custom parallel engine based on LLNL VisIt 1.12.0 running on a Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 cluster. The video below shows this hurricane simulation.

Empisys has been engaged to build a dynamic Web application to provide valuable services to businesses and individuals. This application will be implemented using leading-edge distributed SOA technologies, including an AJAX client, LAMP service layer, and RESTful service API. It will run on the scalable, reliable Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Details of this project will remain confidential until the public version 1.0 launch, so watch this space for updates!
